Who They Are A dynamic collective of musicians, educators, and cultural ambassadors dedicated to uniting communities through rhythm. Their mission is to bridge the gap between different cultures by uniting students through the vibrations and frequencies of the drums. With every program, they blend education, performance, and cultural storytelling to create transformative experiences for youth. What They Do in Schools During school visits, Bridges Through Beats provides a fully interactive and educational journey into the world of drumming. Students will: - Learn Craftsmanship – How drums are made from wood and skins. - Care for Instruments – Proper drum care and maintenance. - Know Their History – Names of drums and their cultural regions. - Explore Frequency – How music vibrations affect mood, focus, and energy. - Play Together – Practice rhythms through “call and response.” - Create Sound – Learn to play different tones and blend in group settings. - Resolve Conflict – Discover how music can be used to channel emotions and resolve disagreements. - Take the Stage – Showcase their skills in a group drumming circle.
